Have you ever ordered a meal in a foreign country and received
items that you really did not want.
"MENUS OF THE World" publishes menu translators for
many individual countries of the world. The translators are designed to help
travelers determine what foods are listed on foreign language restaurant menus. Each
translator, when folded, is the size of a credit card.
However, when expanded, it becomes a full legal size sheet with menu items on the front
and useable country information on the back. Translations for
between 300 to 500 menu items are contained on each guide. Translators are divided
into typical menu sections: salads, soups, meat, poultry, desserts and other related menu
details with the foreign word first. Designed to be handy, they are
especially suited for dining in restaurants which do not have English Language menus.
Additionally, each country's translator provides a wealth
of other information. They contain addresses, phone numbers and listings for
lodging, road signs, automobile rental, national tourist offices, USA direct dial
telephone numbers, UNESCO world heritage sites and other recommended tourist sites and
areas.
